A tracker, flag guesser, and stock tracker.

Hello everyone, I took a weekend break to visit some family and friends. Here's the next much anticipated issue of Import Feedback.

Dayful

App Store

Dayful is a high-quality app. I don’t have any serious negative feedback; it’s exceptionally well done. The UI is clean, the UX is intuitive, and it just works. While it doesn’t attempt anything groundbreaking (which could be seen as a downside), everything functions as expected. I didn’t encounter any noticeable bugs.

That said, I wonder how Dayful will stand out among the hundreds of new to-do list apps out there. Good luck to the team!

Guess World Flags

App Store

App Title:

The title is a bit too long and gets cut off on the phone's screen.

Onboarding:

The app immediately prompts users to allow notifications, but it's unclear why this is necessary for a game like this, especially as the first thing users see. The "How to Play" modal serves its purpose in teaching the basics, but it could be more engaging. I'm also puzzled as to why the premium version is promoted so early, before I’ve even had a chance to try the app. Additionally, there's a bug in dark mode on the paywall screen—I couldn’t read the subscription cost.

App Experience:

Although I’m not the target audience, I found the gameplay loop lacking in engagement. The concept of guessing flags is interesting, and the idea of watching ads for hints makes sense. However, there's no consequence for selecting the wrong flag, which diminishes the challenge. It’s possible that because I wasn’t connected to the internet, I didn’t see any ads.

Regarding the navigation, I suggest sticking with a standard tab bar instead of a custom one. It feels odd that the "Home" tab remains highlighted even when I tap on "Settings."

Conclusion:

The app could benefit from some polishing in both the UI/UX and the gameplay loop. I wish the team the best of luck!

Company 360

App Store

App UI:

The overall UI feels outdated. I highly recommend that the team review the top 100 apps to gather ideas on how to modernize the design and stay competitive.

Additionally, consider implementing a placeholder or loading indicator when processing network requests. For instance, while loading a stock symbol, I noticed that the placeholder text showed "label," which detracts from the user experience.

Subscription Model:

I’m puzzled by the subscription model for this app. There are free alternatives that not only offer a better product but also provide more services.

Conclusion:

Good luck to the team!

That's it folks, it's a short one this week while I get back into the groove of things. Feel free to submit your app at kenny@importfeedback.com.
